Protein Supplements
A lot of protein supplements have nasty aftertastes. You have to experiment around and find a couple that suit you. Some of the sites will send you samples, so you can try them.
I use two main ones: "New-whey Protein" supplement bullets, and Unjury protein mixes. The New-Whey bullets are only 3 oz and taste like jello, so they are easy to drink. You can get them in 25 and 42 grams of protein. They are mostly collagen protein, which is not as high quality as whey protein, but as long as it isn't your sole source of protein it should work well.
For Unjury, I like the chocolate and the chicken broth mixes. I mix the chocolate with my coffee. It does have a slight aftertaste, though, so I get tired of it easily. But it is very high quality whey protein.
You can find the New-Whey bullets discounted on the internet. I use www.wholesalesupplementstore.com. They are fast, reliable, with low shipping fees. You can get Unjury products at www.unjury.com.
Hope this helps. There are lots of other products on the market, too.
I HAVE ACTUALLY TRIED SYNTRAX NECTAR LATTES IN CAPPUCINO. ITS WHEY PROTEIN. I HAVE ALSO TRIED SYNTRAX ESSENCE IN CHOCOLATE. THEY ARE BOTH ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. THEY MIX GREAT, NO AFTER TASTE. THE CAPPUCINO TASTES REALLY GREAT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU WARM IT UP. THEY BOTH HAVE ZERO CARBS, FAT, AND SUGAR AND ABOUT 23 GRAMS OF PROTEIN PER SERVING. GO TO THE WEBSITE FOR MORE INFO HTTP://WWW.SYNTRAX.COM YOU CAN PURCHASE THE ITEMS THERE, BUT YOU MAY FIND THEM CHEAPER ON SITES LIKE HTTP://WWW.VITACOST.COM
Hello, I use GNC 100% Whey protein. Comes in a 6lb container with a measure scoop. I love the chocolate. I mix it with 10-12oz skim milk.(The skim milk also adds some protein) I slowly stir in the whey protein with a spoon and one packet of Equal. Tastes great. My wife uses the Berry flavored GNC Protein. She mixes it with frozen strawberries, a small scoop of orange juice concentrate, 2 Equals and crushed ice. Put's it all in the blender and has a delicious smoothie. I've tried others, but the GNC products have always been my first choice.
GNC has a gold card that will cost $15 for the year (if you want one), but gives you 20% off your order during the first 7 days of every month. There are some GNC stores that accept the gold card everyday.
We just bought a new blender (Vitamix 5000). A little expensive, but an awesome blender if you like eating healthy foods. We wore out 2 Kitchen Aide blenders. The Vitamix blender come with a 7 year warrantee.
