Ab Crunches/Chest

Two Questions: 1. Is it ok for post-op patients to do "ab crunches" or "sit-ups?" While reading these boards, I see that many people do. I just want to confirm that it is ok for post-op patients to do this without complications. I was under the impression that surgeons didn't want us to do them. I would like to start doing them if it is ok.  2. Question 2 if more geared to the men of OH. Does anyone know how to get rid of man "boobs?" I've had them all my life and now that I am losing weight, they are just getting saggy. Any exercise ideas?  Help Please! Thanks.  -David [email protected]

Hey David, Man boobs are a PS issue. You can build some muscle in the chest and back which takes up space and makes the skin a little tighter, but most have to rely on PS to get read of the man boobs. Looking back...I would not recommend crunches after surgery. The motion and contraction tends to cause hernia issues. Dx had a paper on it and I agree.
