Exercise Fun?
Help please.
I know that you have heard this a million times but I need to know how to make exercise fun. I am not in the mood to do it at all. It is so darn cold outside and the gym is availble from 5 am to 8 am then again from 3 pm to 8 pm in the evenings. The mornings are not an option for me because of work and my child. I have no energy left by the time I can go at 5:30 pm. Some body kick me please! I hate myself right now. I am so lazy. Winter is the pits!

For me, listening to my i-pod makes it all worth it once in a while, and most of the time, it makes it waaaay more fun.
Yes, i know they're expensive, but it's like your own radio station, playing all your favorite songs! I'm so busy I never get time to listen to music, so I kill two birds with one stone when i listen while exercising.
That is a great idea. Maybe I can forget what I am really doing. I can trick myself into thinking that I am having a great time. I will be glad when Spring comes. I can go outside in walk and run around in the park. Winter is a rough time because I hate cold weather, especially now. I am over a year out and I am still cold all of the time.
I'm no expert, but what works for me is finding something that you will actually do. For me, water aerobics. I love to swim, and we use weights and noodles to tone. I have become more flexible, toning up a lot, and I am so relaxed afterwards. Not to mention I totally sleep like a log at night now, versus insomnia before. I have 6 kids, so I can understand the obstacles you have to overcome just to get to the gym, but it is so worth it. Go right after work, or right after you pick the kids up. I try to pack a snack daily for the kids in thier diaper bag so they are not starving by the time I get done and get supper on the table. If water is not your thing, then find something you like. Branch out and go to the library and check out thier fitness videos. I tried yoga videos, not really thinking I'd like it, and it is GREAT. Not only that, once you kind of get a feel for one thing, you are so much more willing to try something new after that. I took a cardio class today and enjoyed it, something I never would have tried in the past.
