30-day Triathalon starts today!!
Today I started the Contact Mid-Atlantic 30-day triathalon. I have 30-days to swim 2.4 miles, 115 miles biking, and 26.3 miles running.
This is a great way to test yourself. Not being much of a swimmer, this is perfect to get me into training, and keep training in the winter. I anticipate getting involvement in several sprints this summer.
Today I completed a 3.2 mile run (23.2 miles left), 21 miles spinning (94 miles left), and 8 lengths in the pool (152 lengths remaining). Swimming laps is extremely painful but I need to relearn how to make progress in the pool.

Day 3 completed. I have now completed 6.4 miles of the 26.3 running. 36 lengths of the 160 in the pool. And 80 miles of the 115 miles biking.
Running and spinning are a breeze but the swimming for me is really brutal and boring. Need to figure out a way to pass the time when the arms are churning.

Well the first week is complete...
I have now completed 11 miles of the 26.3 running. 66 lengths of the 160 in the pool. And 100 miles of the 115 miles biking.
I spent an extra hour in the pool today after my spinning class and was able to get in 30 lengths. Might finish this thing up early if I can keep up the pool work.
Once this event finishes I'm scheduled to ride a two-person charity spin relay for 4 hours in Feb.
