I am 4 days post op and very sore where the drain was.  I'm trying to stay active with household stuff as my wound allows.  When should I start on the treadmill.  My husband says it's too early.  It's been a long time since I exercised.  I'm wanting to see progress!

Hi Lorrie. I will try to refrain from the typical Moorehead joke - sorry I even mentioned it. Anyway, don't push yourself. Do you can do some light walking, but want to get good and healed first. Also, wait until you are able to sip enough to get adequate fluids, you don't want to get dehydrated. Also, make sure you are able to get protein in, you don't want to get wiped out. And most importantly - Listen To Your Doctor!! Hmmmm.......I guess I should have said that first. make sure you get his/her clearnance. Congrats on the surgery!!
