Training for Triathlon advice

Hi, I had the lap band surgery last Feb. and have lost 65 lbs. so far, with about that much to go to reach goal weight.  I would like to train to do our local sprint triathlon next summer, but need help getting started.  Does anyone have a spreadsheet or planning guide for preparation?  It seems awful lofty starting at my current condition.  I am very dedicated and will follow through with whatever it takes, I just will be taking baby steps to get there... Thanks in Advance, Aimee Martin

Hi Aimee Go to beginnertriathlete.com They have some free plans - one in particular is a 22 week couch potato to sprint trining plan. It takes you from walking and gradually build you up. They also have 16 week plans and start at different levels of fitness - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I am beginning to train for a 1/2 marathon in April and will do a triathlon around June - if I don't have more plastics. Good luck!! Sharyn
