New to exercise - is 1.75 miles a good start?
Asking whether or not 1.75 miles in 45 minutes is good depends entirely on the individual. You're up....you're out....you're moving! So, yes this is GOOD!!
Each time you walk, be sure you measure your time and your distance. 1.75 in 45 minutes is YOUR baseline - it's YOUR starting point.
Make a commitment to exercise, establish a plan/schedule and then stick with it. Then, as you measure your time/distance each time, once you achieve consistency, work to gradually improve your time with the 1.75 mile distance and then increase your distance.
