After surgery weight gain?

I had wls on monday the 6th.  I asked to weight today before I left the hospital.  the nurse said well you will be heavier from the all the IV fluids.  Does that 12 new H2o pounds flow off fast? 

Yeah you'll lose that quickly. Give yourself a week or 2 before stepping on the scale and you'll be amazed at the weight loss that first 2 weeks. Good luck. Earl

Yeah, it will, but the nail holding your tail might be throwing off the scale.
