Getting back on the horse
Hey all you fitness gurus and junkies, I need a little nudge this morning. I have been away from the gym for about 2.5 weeks. I was doing some business and personal travel and have fallen off the exercise wagon. I am 10 lbs away from my goal of weighing 135 lbs. I am very proud of what I have accomplished and, up to now, have been going to the gym 5 days a week. I don't know what happened. All I know is that I have to go back. I like to run, but lately, the treadmill seems so boring that I just can't hardly stand to face it. But I like the convenience of one stop shopping at my local Y for cardio and then strength training. I usually have a personal trainer but had cancelled my appointments til my travel settled down. Thanks for listening this morning! Susan
Susan,
I understand about falling off the horse, but get your fanny back on it. I know it can be boring so mix it up. Take it outside. Get an MP3 player, download your favorite tunes and pretend you are a rock star! (oops...that's what I DO!) You body does need a break sometimes. Now, get back in that saddle, girl.
You are in a beautiful area so you can go outside and walk/run or do yard work. That counts too! Sometimes, when I feel like I just can't face the gym, I just go anyway. Sometimes it turns into a great workout, and one other time, I just sat there...but I went. Life is hectic at times but consider the trainer again - until you get your inspiration back! Good luck!
