I am looking for someone who had gastric bypass surgery. I am 22 and will be having surgery Jan 15th!.
I am looking for someone in PA.
thanks
Hi everyone ,
I am set to meet my surgeon on Jan.28th in Guelph, Ontario Canada and will find out my surgery date on that day. I would love to chat with others who are at the same point in their journey as me.
I am scared, anxious and excited all in one and really worrying about the whole being put to sleep and surgery thing. I have a 3 yr old daughter that I stay home with and a 14 yr old son, who can do things on his own. I am really nervous about what i will and wont be able to do after surgery, during recovery.
I am also praying that i will be approved for VSG as I have Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis and I need to take Nsaids for pain and stiffness!
Anyone wanna chat? please email me @ [email protected] and put "penpal" in the subject line. Thanks!
I'm going to send you an email.

Hey all, I'm looking for people to talk to about a recent duodenal switch procedure and all the trials and tribulations associated with it. I'm just a little past six weeks out, and things have fluctuated greatly in such a short time in regards to moods and feelings...it would be awesome to have someone to share them with who understands. My husband cares, but he doesn't get it, and I don't have any friends who've undergone even a similar surgery, so anyone would be nice to talk to about it - I feel like I'm chatting everyone's ears off, and they just don't get it/care. It would be nice to have someone to talk to that understands the early frustrations and is as dedicated to getting this weight off with as few complications as possible. I would like someone to learn with as well, and the support that comes from an understanding friendship. I'd like to hear stories from other surgeries as well, and any friend is a good friend :) I don't make friends easily in person, so I thought I'd give this a shot and see what comes of it.
