I would love to keep in touch & help you along :) The band was not for me, I have had my band for 4 years and the most I lost was 12 pounds, but that was in the 1st 2 weeks of having it put in .. SO now I am converting :) I am getting nervous but I know I am in God's hands and He will see me through or He'll take me home and I am ok with either !!
That's really good that you've seen a consultant and the dietician ... I saw my dietician 3 times ... It was very helpful ! I am here if you need anything I was where you are at ... It's exciting but scary at the same time ...

I am doing great thanks and you? i have only just started my weight loss journey. I have already seen a dietician and consultant who has recommend that i have a Gastric Bypass. In the UK the Gastric Band is the most popular option but unfortunately its not for me.
At the moment i am trying to lose some of the weight as i have to show willing so that i can be trusted to follow the diet after surgery.
It would be great to get support and encouragement even if its from the other side of the world and hopefully we will build a friendship too.

Hi there - I'm looking for an email buddy / penpal buddy. Someone who I can talk to about WLS, ups, down, and everything in between. I do not have many people who I feel I can talk openly with about this, so it'd be nice to have a friend who is either in the process to get WLS, or has already had it and just needs someone to talk to, support, etc...

My name is Kari and I'm 30 years old from Michigan. I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for almost 6 years (together 14 years). We have no children, but we currently have guardianship of our nephews, ages 12 & 13, so that has been quite interesting for us. They keep us on our toes!
I have been considering WLS for many years and have been researching on and off for the past few years. It has only been since we've gotten better insurance through DH's work that I decided to go forward with WLS. I am still in the early pre-op stage, but will be meeting up with the surgeon / nurse / dietician on January 29th.

Iam Lucy 43yr old homemaker from Waddington nr Lincoln UK looking for an overseas online penpal. I am married to John and have two Daughters from my first marriage(but none with John) Louise 25yrs and Emma 20Yrs, i am also Granny to 3yr old Finley who is the apple of our eyes.
