I am looking for someone to help support outside my family through this journey and would love to be a support for you! We could be supportive of each other. My surgery is scheduled for 2/11 and I am so excited and scared! I started my pre-op diet today and finding it interesting to keep from cheating. But for me I know I have to do it well because I am actually participating in a study at our Army Hospital for reducing belly fat for this and hopefully other abdominal surgeries. Well anyway**** me up [email protected] Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi,
I would love to find a friend or two on this site to go through this journey with. Or someone who has been through this and can be a mentor type. I feel silly asking like this and not sure if this will work but hey... it's worth a try.
Hope you are having a nice Sunday,
Steph

Hello
I am looking for pen pals to write to and ask questions about what to expect and so on . I am a good shoulder to lean on as well. So if you want give me a holler. I currently live in North Dakota but originally from Arkansas and Southern Missouri. I am having surgery scheduled for 14th .
Have a great day.

Hi. im not really "close" but in in Chattanooga. :P
Hi, one and all!!
I had a VSG on June 4, 2012 and started at 301 lbs. Between then and the beginning of December, I've lost 76 pounds(down to 225), losing typically 6 lbs per month after the first big drop. But now, I have days where I only eat a few meals, then days where I feel like I'm eating all the time, even though it's still small amounts. And unfortunately, since the beginning of December, my weight has been hovering between 225 and 223. I can't seem to get it to budge and drop down again! Is this it? Am I done losing? Or am I just on a plateau, and have to be patient till it breaks and moves down again? Any advice/encouragement/thoughts are welcome!

P.S.--Oh yeah, adding to the stress of not losing further is the fact that a friend asked me to be in her wedding, and the dress is one of those strapless-only-looks-good-on-the-model-in-the-photo types. The wedding is in October, which is my 15-month mark. My dietitian at my surgeon's office tells me that the weight you reach by your 18-month mark is pretty much what you're going to be, so I need help!! Thank you all :)
