Good Day! I hope your surgery went well.NOw onto the journey of losing and maintaining! I am 4.5 yrs post RNY and am maintaining......I also had an abdominoplasty 3.5 yrs ago....that was the best thing besides the RNY that I have ever done for myself! although I am not on here often I do check from time to time. if you are interested in "chatting" re: your weight loss journey I am certainly willing to do that! I can relate of sort. I stopped losing at 78 lbs after surgery in '06...personal issues, divorce and 7 years later I've gained over 30 lbs back. I drink, also but I've cut back dramatically but still...drink. You're not alone.

I would be willing to be supportive, although I live in Canada and the process is much different than it is in the USA...so I am not sure where you reside, but I am 4 yrs post-op...and would love to help you out anyway that I can..one thing you need to know, is that although I am compassionate and I realize the first few months after surgery are difficult.I don;t do well with me that play the "oh poor woeful me" card on a contsant basis.
I didn't get where I am in this almost 6 yr journey, by being a slacker...not saying that I don't on occasion slip off the "wagon"..but I get back on and realize that my surgeon gave me a chance at a "better life" and I owe it to him not to have wasted his talents on me!
