Im Michelle from Colorado. I am having a Sleeve in August. I weigh over 400lbs. I am 45 years old. I love animals. Especially cats. I am a homemaker. Its so painful to walk that I am in a wheelchair. I used to be in the Air Force and was very athletic. Got injured in the military and started gaining weight. Want to get my life back. Hubby is afraid I will die before he retires in 3 years. Anyways, I want a buddy to go thru this journey with. Now that the surgery is set, I have been going thru all kinds of emotions. Did that happen to you?

I have had gastric bypass on 12/7/2013 and lost 71lbs so far as of today. I would love to have other people to email,im or whatever with. I know I personally do better hen I have someone who knows the struggles of losing weight and what I am going through. Even just making new friends. I am in,well more like near the Jacksonville Florida area. So anyone wanna chat I am willing and who knows if your close enough maybe we can get a walking group going on.
Is there anyone here who had weight loss surgery, then had abdominoplasty paid for by insurance or OHIP due to severe skin deterioration/infections under the folds? I am already having yeast infections and some days it stinks like something dead is living under there, even though I wash and dry thoroughly and also apply calmoseptine diaper rash creme. It hurts like crazy and sometimes itches so bad I scratch till it bleeds. I don't know what to do next.

I had the VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy) on June 8, 2010. I love my Sleeve. I think we can help each other out in our journey and I'll try my best. Some of my bad habits did return and I'm trying my best to get rid of them. I am enjoying life now since I had my Sleeve done.
