Disco Stu Lives!Hi Shelle -
I'm 53, and my RNY is scheduled for June 24th - just around the corner! It's been such an exciting journey so far, and I'm SO ready for the "rest of my life" to begin. You are at the beginning stages, and there are lots of hoops to jump through, but don't let that discourage you. Now that I'm on the 'other side' of all that, I can see the reasons for all the waiting. I originally was going to have Lap Band, but my surgeon talked me out of it (that plus doing more research, and reading tons of posts in the forums here), so I'm having the RNY. I have a friend who had the sleeve though, and she loves it!
Best of luck in your journey - and I'd be happy to be a pen pal if you're not swamped already!

Hi my date is set for the end of June. But I need a support group or a pen pal. No one around me understands obesity and the heart ache I just need someone who understands knows the ins and outs. My current weight is 350lbs and I'm 5'8. Also I'm a Christian :)
