Hi everyone I am from Boston and my name is Crystal! I have all my appointments scheduled they just havent come yet, the only thing I have done so far is go to the class. It get hard waiting. I do not believe that I have a 6 month diet it was never mentioned to me, they did mention it in the class but my insurance was not one of them. if anyone wants to add me it will be a good to go through together!

Hi, I had an RNY back in 2000, then an rny revision in 2001. In 2008, I had the DS. I'll be 2 years out in August. I'd be willing to chat with you anytime.

Hi all,
Just wanted to give a quick update. I went Wed to have my scope test and the final check on my heart. He said everything was pumping good and my scope test came out great. I go see my dr. for my third month visit and I have my sleep apnea test next month.
I have lots of support from my husband but not to many other people. I just keep thinking one of these days all of the people who do not support me on this will see me when I am smaller and a lot more healthy because I am feeling tons better. I can't wait!!

What do you do regarding your low blood sugars? I know with the RY bypass, you can't eat straight sugar and I am worried about having lows that are hard to treat.

I'm Dorothy - I had my RNY on March 17, 2009. Best thing I ever did! I started at 349 & as of my weigh in yesterday, I now weigh 198!
If you like, I can try to answer any questions you may have. I'm no expert, but I have lived through the rough parts & have made it through!

You've just started & I know how you feel about every little thing making you worry! I do the same thing! It's much easier now after being a year out, but I still worry. It's something I'm working on!
As long as you would like, I would be happy to try & answer any questions you have. I'm not saying I'm a walking know-it-all, but I can try! LOL!

I had my surgery at GBMC. I went to a couple other hospital for their information sessions and found GBMC to be the best.
