Fantastic, I just went to see her Wednesday and she was pleased with my results.  I only lost 15 pounds before the surgery but everything went well..Praise God.  It is hard to believe I have lost the weight.  I still see myself as morbidly obese but like I said before(I think) I am down to an 18 jean and last week I bought myself my first belt cause my other jeans were getting too big.  UNBELIEVABLE!!  It takes some time to be able to accept that you can shop regular clothes and that your not as big as you once were.  The flabby arms are the only thing I have trouble dealing with.  I have to wear 3/4 length sleeves but they are actually starting to shrink down a bit.  It doesn't look as bad as they did when I lost the wt. at first.  I guess everything is just a waiting game, and you do have to acquire a lot of patience.  It is so worth it though, and I can hardly wait for your report after the surgery.  Be sure to take your vitamins and proteins, I started losing my hair but I had so much that it is not so noticeable like I thought it would be.  It will start to grow again but like I said I have to have PATIENCE...Good luck on your journey and keep in touch and ask me anything you want to know.  I will try to answer to the best of my ability and according to my experiences.

 Hi. I'm 31, single, no kids and on the road to getting the DS surgery. I'm looking for anyone who wants to chat about the ups and downs of the ride. I have Kaiser and just had my orientation yesterday in Fremont. I have my meeting with the surgeon/nutritionist/clinical coordinator next month where I'll be asking for the DS so I can go through the appeals process since Kaiser doesn't do it.

Hey Arkansas! I am a Razorback who happens to be in Florida at the moment... until August. I am an older student with 3 grown children and I had RNY on Fat Tuesday of this year, (2/16/10).  It is a journey and an adventure.  It is also a waiting game and it appears that is the phase you are in.  I'd be glad to help in any way I can, even to just be a penpal.  I live in the Fayetteville area but was born near Jonesboro.  My dad's family was from Clinton, north of Conway.  My oldest was born in Springdale and my middle in North Little Rock, (the 19 year old baby is Floridian)!  And I have friends all over Arkansas.  So, check out my blogs if you want and send questions my way!  I'll help if I can.
