we are in the Alton, IL area. We have completed everything but the psychological eval...and that seems to be a sticking point. We don't have the money for both of us to complete that...*sigh*..as soon as the budget opens up, we'll get that done and then we'll be able to schedule the surgeon visit and then it's sit back and wait for the insurance company to come through. I'm hoping that everything falls into place after we jump this last hurdle. Is there anything that you can tell me that would help us prepare? We've been looking at protein drinks/shakes and vitamins...and have gotten some samples from different places..haven't really tried them yet because when we went to the dietary class, the dietician told us not to go on a liquid diet until we've talked to the surgeon.

Hey girl If I can pass the "Psycho" exam anyone can I am bi-polar and he called my bluff dangit but I still got clearance I sorta just tried telling I have had depression for over 20 years and have been on meds since then doing great (LOL) and then he wanted to call my COO COO doctor and they had to collaborate and I still passed   Woo Hoo  So you will be fine (I hope unless you are pzychophrenic) that is the only reason they wouldnt accept it...or anyhting worse than that i am sure

Is this RNY as serious as the gas.Bypass?All this is driving me crazy but I still have to wait and have time to decide which open best suit me.i did go to the seminar and it took 2 hrs.It was worth it.....I see there are so many diff ones.  I am also having my teeth done, for I have neglected them for yrs. (boy what a mistake)...so you no I am serious about my well the rest of my life.  Hey I am a happy spirted woman and a people person, I get along wit everyone, oh and looking for a husband...Ops! the secret is out  lol.  I love life and all it has to offer, so I feel we need this because I feel you are the same just by your smile....Thank you again for your reply and I will be here for you anytime......lets stick together all of us, for we know what it is like  to be in that extra body....GL all ....Rose
