I'm scheduled to have surgery (bypass) on 9/30/13. Still waiting on approval from insurance company.
After this, I'm facing a knee replacement surgery as well.
I'd like to correspond with others dealing with a myriad of health issues for mutual support and understanding.

Hey, I'm a 22 year old female in New Jersey who was banded in 2010, had a slip in 2013 and was just sleeved September 5th, 2013. I would love someone to share accomplishments and goals with, or to talk to anyone considering the lap band. I also would like support from anyone who has the sleeve, as I'm not quite sure how it works yet.

I was 19 when I got the Lap Band done, and was considered very successful with it.
My stats upon putting the lap band in:
Age: 19
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 320lbs
Unfortunately my band slipped in June 2013. My stats the day the band was taken out:
Age: 22
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 195lbs
If you have any questions, I had three years with the band and would love to answer them!

I'm look for a buddy, too. I'm a fiction write who lives in Kansas City. I just turned 37 and want to get this weight off! While I'd love to get weight loss surgery, it's just not possible at this time so I've done a lot of research, have found a plan that looks like it will work for me, and am putting together all the details to begin (lots of prep work). I was thinking of a start date of Oct 1st, but I could move it up a week or too if that works better for you. I want to lose 180 pounds! So we're close on our goals. I'm all about focusing on the positive and seeing the silver lining.
I want a buddy to that I cheer and can cheer me. Someone who is all about getting things done. Do you use Voxer? It's an app that you can record messages, text, and send pics for free. It might be a good option as I receive hundreds of email a day for my job.
