my name is rebecca and im originally from southern cali , i moved to tn in 2009 and wish i was back in calif.. i am 48yrs old and in march of 2006 i had my rny done at ucla hospital by dr. dutson ,wonderful dr. very informative and very kind. i have lost lots of weight. so how far are you in the process. if you have any questions i would be happy to answer what i can but if not the cali board is great for questions and you will get answers . i wish you all the best on your journey .
if you want to keep writing as pen pals i would be happy to keep in touch. everyone who goes through this process cant have enough pen pals or even better friends,. who understand what we are doing and going through..

i moved here from california a year and a half ago ,and i have been away from this site for along while, i have decided to reach out for penpals who live in tn or basically anywhere who have been through or going through the wls process. i had my rny in california on march 2006 and have lost alot of weight but also became anorexic because i chose not to eat and drink for 6mnths after surgery, stupid on my part but i had a fear of gaining the weight back and of course when i started to eat my fear came to lite which i did in fact gain the weight back now im trying to lose agian . so support from others would be awesome.

Thank you patcatpaws, I think I am doing ok, because its the same as you said. But he wants me to pay 4,000.00 for the food, protein bars and drinks . Visits to his office for exercise and vitamines. Now he also says that if I do this , my insurance will pay for my operation.Now doesn't tha t sound like I am paying for it? So I started also on the 1st of Oct, and I have lost almost 1 2lbs. All I need to do is to start a gym for 3times a week. My surgery is to be in March of 2011. I really want this so I can be happy and it is a life time thing. I was 352,2 lbs, now I am 342lbs. So to me that means a lot.I have started eating a lot of greens and small portions.Ok, I will have to stop eating after 6:30, thk u for that, hey I might lose more because that is when I am really looking for something to munch on...lol Keep intouch and let me know how you are doiing, and I will do the same.....Thank you again.

I would like to get a pen pal for the first time since I had surgery in April of 2002. I am gaining weight back and have seen a bariatric surgeon (mine is no longer in USA) and I am having a rough time of seeing the scales go "the wrong way"!!!
