i'm in California, I'm 44 and i have 2 kids a boy and a girl, a granddog and various reptiles my daughter likes. (yuck). I've never heard of the band eroding, that sounds scary. I couldn't go through that again. I'm hungry a lot because of my schedule. I'm not able to eat when I'm hungry so when i can i feel really hungry and fear i'm eating too much. I'm at [email protected].

I had RNY in April of 2010. I have replaced my food addiciton with a shopping addiciton. My day to day life is good!! I mean there are definitly things I do different now that I did not do back then, but I knew that!! You just have to change things up a bit. Start eating different stuff, change things around. You won;t be bored when you start to really see the difference. Email me if you want. I do get on here, but not that often. My email is [email protected]. or you can also find me on facebook, by my email, or name, which is Renee Allen. looking forward to talking with you!!

I had gastric bypass on Oct 27, 2010. It has been a positive experience for me but lately I find myself bored with the daily routine. I would love to hear some variations/what works for someone else. Whether it is exercize, swapping recipes, protein powder or just being supportive.

Hey =)

I'm from South Florida, so I'm not near Houston. I just decided to go on this journey too, and girl I am definitely an emotional eater to the point where I don't catch myself sometimes! So trust me I understand where you're coming from on that end. I need someone to talk to as well because I don't have anyone else to talk to. My whole family is thin! So they kind of just nod their heads and pretend to understand lol. If you or anyone else is interested, you can reach me at:

I'm not from the houston area, I'm from Philly but I have the same problem. I'm an emmotional eater too. But I am changing that now. I don't have a date yet, but it's close. I have been working out lately ( kickboxing) and watching my diet. I'm slowly making the changes I need to make for this WLS.

Topic: RE: Looking for a friend going through gastric bypass surgery
Hi Amy! I didn't have to go thru the 6 month process with my insurance but I am available if you want to talk/write. I had gastric bypass Oct 27 and it has been a good experience for me. You would not believe the amount of energy you will have a few weeks after surgery. The other person that responded to you mentioned making changes now such as the protein and not drinking with meals, that is a great idea. If you do it gradually it will not be hard for you after surgery, as you will have already gotten these things into your daily routine. I wish you luck and I am here for you.

My name is Cameron. I live in Taft. The time really will go by so fast. This surgery has been the best thing to happen to me. I haven't lost all the weight since my surgery 7 years ago but I still love myself now. I am so happy. I sing and dance around the house all the time.
