Hi Barbara, My name is Peggy, and I will probably have my surgery sometime in may or june. I had to go thru a 6-month weight loss with my Dr. for my insurance. I have my dietician and therapist appointments week after next. I am 261 and 5" , I am 57 and I have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I am excited and scared at the same time, I just hope I don't back out. My son-in-law got his band on Feb. 22. He is doing okay.I work for a local daycare center, will be there 7 years on 04/05 , I started on my birthday. I cook at the center, drive a bus, and assist in the office. I would love to be a friend and compare our journey.  I had VSG on March 9, 2011 so I'm brand new. I have lost 15 pounds and I have around 40 to 50 pounds to go.  I had the lapband before and the doc took it out and I now have the sleeve.  I live in Fort Worth, Texas with my husband.  My three boys are grown and out on their own.  I'm also in my 40's (47 to be exact).  I love to hear how others are doing so i can't wait to hear about your progress.
