Hey jflyny, I am willing to listen to you, I am 58 and no definite surgery date but looking at june, I got very excited at first and then started having doubts and the I began to get excited again and now I am having doubts about having the surgery, I worry about the long term effects, and what it will be like years down the road, but i just need to stop that and quit doubting my decision. Hi Therese, my name is Pam and my husband is also in the Army.  Wow 6 girls, you sure do have your hands full.  I have 3 my oldest is 25, 19 and youngest is 14.  I had gastric bypass in Oct 2009 and lost 135 lbs and I'm still losing.  Goal weight was 150 but once I got there and seen I could lose more I went to a goal of 140.  I never thought I would get to the 130's.  My doctor told me I would only lose 100, I proved him wrong.  That's exciting that your going ahead with your surgery, do you know which procedure you are going with?  I am also in the process of getting plastic surgery on my stomach and  boobs.  I could use a total body lift but that is way too expensive.  So I am trying to get just the 2 done right now.  Clothes hide alot but once I'm naked...YUCK!!!!  Is your husband deployed at all?  My husband was in Iraq 2 times but he's done for good now, he only has 1 1/2 years to go till he can retire from the Army.  It's rough raising a family with one of the spouses in the military.  Just wanted to say HI and to wish you luck on your upcoming surgery.  Keep me posted.

Thanks Patsy.  Last week I went for psych eval and to see the nutrionist, that was easy.  The nutritionist told me not to worry about insurance, I will be covered.  I also the OR schedule for May 19th and saw my name, sometimes its nice working in the hospital! Good Luck to you on May 3rd, you will do just fine  Judy
