Im 47 close to 50! Im just getting started on this journey had blood work done today I meet with the dietician ins person and the doctor on june 20th it will be left up to the insurance comp after that. I have bcbs of tn.

I know how you feel. I am depressed and waiting also. Meeting with the doctor on monday. You weigh 550 lbs but that does not define your future. This surgery will be such a blessing for you and me. A new leash on life!

I completely understand. When I had gastric bypass I was over 400 pounds. I was the one that everyone said "you have such a pretty face"... but they never left it at that...lol. I am down to 240 as well, but my goal weight is 190 (I'm 6'2" tall...tiny I'll never be ;-). The rest of my weight loss will be up to me. I've started by eliminating the snacking (I'm a snacking freak!) Mostly healthy stuff...but the calories add up. There's only so many 100 calorie packs you can eat before it adds up to a cheeseburger...ya know! Here is my e-mail address: [email protected]. Maybe we can encourage each other! I would love a friend also. I had RNY almost 10 years ago and would love to connect with someone who also had the surgery. I am 36 (a lady :0) I have been married for 18 years and have 3 children. Would love a facebook RNY friend also!! I am VERY computer unsavy ( is this a word?). This is who my profile says I am from Ha. I wish I were however, I am from Va. Still trying to figure out how to fix my profile!! Blessings!!

I am not in Ohio right now. We live in Va. but we are from Wayne county Ohio. We we be moving back in the next year. I had RNY in 2001. My surgeon was Dr. Stellato at universary hospitals in Cleveland. I have not know anyone else who had RNY and I have not had much support. At this point, even this far out I am feeling i need it!! I would love to chat! I am 36, I have been married for 18 years and I have 3 teenage children. Hope you are doing well. Blessings!!
