Congrats on your choice of surgery and you will do great on Thursday!! It is so common to be nervous, I was so scared but at the same time just ready to get it over and done with.
It is the best thing I have done for myself since 1995 when I had a breast reduction done. You will feel great in a couple of weeks and start seeing a decrease in weight and inches.
Did you have any classes to prepare you for after your surgery? In our clinic we have about 12 classes we have to complete before we are able to schedule our date. When you are ready, I have the names of some great books that you can read also that should help. There are some great cookbooks and recipes here on OH also.

Hi, there. My name is Deanna. I live in Vancouver, WA. My doctor is Emma Patterson at Legacy Good Sam in NW Portland. I weigh 460 lbs, so I know where you are coming from.  I'm only three weeks into my insurance mandated 6 month diet. As of June 11, I had lost 7 lbs, but today I weighed again today and gained 8 lbs! My partner tells me it is muscle gained from working out. I feel very frustrated today. BTW - my partner and I are doing the WLS program together. She is 35 and I am 48.
