I would love being you pen pal. I will be having gastric bypass. This is what the Dr. suggested because I', type 2 diabetic. Everything is winding down with me now so hopefully surgery in Oct/Nov. I can't wait. I am from central CT. Hope to hear from you soon. No texting.

Hi thanks for the support. I have sleep study tonight. I'm hoping my diabeties goes way too. So tired of *****ing fingers, insulin shots. i got a call today from exercise support to make an appt waiting for call back. So ... Dr. Sebastien, lucky you, I have to go all the way up to St. Augustine to Flagler Hospital for Dr. Robert Marema. Wonderful place, but rather be local ... My Humana and Halifax do not see eye to eye. So I have go trotting up there 4 or 5 times.
My first date was to be August 31st, didn't have all the tests done in time so now it is Sept. 14th and I have doubts about it. My pulminary test was fine, but same doc is my sleep doc and he is not happy with me. I took my C-Pap mask back thinking I would not need it after surgery. Seems I was wrong. He is writing to tell my surgeon on me and I might have to do an overnite sleep test again. I hate that.
So we will see. I go to cardiologist today to get heart stuff explained and hope to God that goes well! If not, it's back to the drawing boards with that, too. Why the h--- didn't I lie and say mask and I were great friends.........which we were NOT!!
Let me know more about you ... what made you decide on wls at such a young age ...better now than wait till you only have maybe 20 years left! You are quite welcome. Also, speak to your surgeon because if you do the sleeve and are not too satisfied, later on in the future you can still turn it into a bypass. Just remember that what ever intervention you chose if you work at it and follow the rules/instructions you will be successful.
