Topic: Looking for friends/penpals that had Vertical Sleeve Surgery
Hi, I am Beth. I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in March 2008. I have maintained my 70 lb. weight loss. I am looking for friends to swap recipes, hints and support. I am located in Northeastern Ohio but love to hear from people from all over!
I am interested in particular how people are fitting exercise into their schedules when working fulltime. I am finding that a challenge. Hope to hear from you-all!!

Hi, I am in Cleveland Ohio. Are you still looking for a friend/penpal? I had my Vertical Sleeve done in March 2008. I a 3.5 years post op and pretty much maintaining my weight loss. I had type 2 diabetes before the surgery and it is in "remission". What is your story?

You'll do great! My surgeon was Dr. Koppman in the same practice and Dr. M actually did part of my surgery. It went great and Flager is incredible. All of the WLS patients get the VIP rooms on the 8th floor. Barb is one of the main nurses (she is called sarge). I hope you do well. Let us know!

Hello charb149 ! thank u for replying to my pen pal request. Everything went well, my surgery was Aug 12, 2011. I am three weeks post-op and feeling great, at my two week post op follow up I was down 12 pounds. I have been doing Zumba and Spinning, stage four diet is coming to a close and i am looking forward to stage five. My first fill will be 9/28/11 and i cant wait for the restriction. Keep in touch.
