MN -looking for a friend/penpal

Hi my name is Michelle and I live in Milaca,MN.I am a year out from my surgery and feel like a completely different person. One thing I would like to change is not having any friends. From years of being obese and hiding I haven't been able to start any friendships outside of my family.Now that I am 100+lbs down I feel like I am a new person but don't have any friends to go out and do things with or just talk to. I have my husband and an 11yr old and a 17yrold that I adore but I don't have anyone that I can call and go to a movie with(movies other than what I can get my husband to see of the kids),go shopping, lunch, or just sit and talk with. When I was larger I never thought about it much for two reasons, one because I didn't want to go out and be seen and two because I ddn't think I deserved to have fun I guess.Of course I had aquaintances because I have an outgoing personality but I never made close frieinds because of being self consceous(sp?).I feel 100% better about myself now ever though I am not at goal yet.I went from wearing baggy dark colors to bright colors which I never thought I would and form fitting instead of baggy. I would like to find a friend(s) pre or post op,that would like to talk and /or get together sometimes and start to live again outside of the box we put ourselves in when heavy. Hi Michelle-I am new to this journey and looking for a pen pal myself and noticed you had not been answered so I wanted to say HI-I also live in Minnesota on the south east side.
