Connie, I also am looking at having surgery. I am in just the initial stages. I am 55 and want to see my grandchildren grow up, get married and have lives of their own. I want to be able to be a part of it all. I have had problems with my weight all my life. I don't want to be fat anymore, but more than that I want to live and live fully. Hazel

Hiya ladies; My name is Kathy and I am 2 months post-op and I am doing pretty good started out at 354 pounds and as of yesterday I am under 300 pounds. I will tell you ladies this is not something that will happen over night it took me 9 months from start to finish before surgery was done, I will say so far it is worth every thing I went through and I would do it all overt again and I am still in the begining stages of getting back to eating. since I am an over the road truck driver I don't get to my email very often but if you would like you can email me and we may change numbers and I can encourage and support you both as you begin your journey. It really is nice to have someone there to cheer you on and encourage you. or if you rather i can answer emails . Oh and I am 42 years old not that age makes a difference when it comes to this. But just some back ground on me might be helpful. I am a mom and a grandmother and I as wel wanted this surgery to get healthy.
