Hi Trish. I'm 43, live in Oklahoma and need pen pals also. I have my appointment with my surgeon on the 29th of this month. I'm nervous of course, but excited at the same time.
I have a grandson who is almost 4, a grandson who is 9 months, and another grandson who will be born any day now! My daughter has actually been in short labor since yesterday.
I'd love to hear from people who have had the surgery. I do have one gal I corrospond with constantly, she's been awesome. Her surgery was the 31st of last month, and she's had some problems, which of course has me a bit more nervous then I should be.
Hoping to hear from others!
Hey Trish,
I will be 50 in February. It's sounding younger and younger. I am divorced for 26 years, have a grown married daughter with the two most precious grandbabies in this world - 5 yo Caroline Paige and 6 mo. Hudson Charles. They, along with their mother and daddy are my pride and joy. I just hit my 10 mo. anniversary and have lost 118 lbs. I started at 358 with my heaviest before surgery being 394. I feel better and like myself better than ever before. I love to cross-stitch, read, watch tv and ride horses. I'm trying to make myself workout which I detest. Would love to hear from you.
Blessings,
Patti
hI TRISH!
I WOULD love to be friends with you and anyone else on this thread- Hi Nan I also had RNY surgery this past summer- so my birthday is in July and my surgianniversary is the following month exactly- LOL- 2 birthdays every summer- I LOVE IT!! for anyone who is looking at 50 next year-
1956 was a good year wasn't it? LOL !! I have been so deep in denial about my age..I could take being in my 40s forever..everyone says since WLS I look younger and look 35!.. Have they invented the supplements that allow us to roll back the clock ?
I have one son - he will be 21- he is an EMT and some days is worse than 2 girls - he ties up the house phone and then the bathroom LOL!! I have been divorced 15yrs, am independent, outgoing, love to have a good laugh and would love to have a long romantic relationship.. but back to reality..I always joke.. that if men were perfect- they would be women! LOL
My highest weight was 325 preop, I lost 25lbs last year and regained it again..then I lost 10lbs during my 6mos supervised medical and gained that back..and had lost 55lbs back in 1999- when I was down to 245..
I am now getting back into clothes that I wore in 1999- and now they are becoming looser and looser and I could not be more proud!! I have lost a total of 75lbs since 8/15 and it feels wonderful.. Too bad we couldn't do this 25 yrs ago huh? I enjoy working out..thats how I lost weight in 1999- I had been working out at Lucille Roberts 4-6x week over 16 mos.
I now have a membeship at Ballys and love it ..its good to go swimming and sauna after working out..
Would love to hear from you - and wish everyone in this thread -
a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Hugs,
Donna
