hoping to talk to anyone thats going through this or has been through this i just joined this site this week..have my very first appt next week..i am so scared of the fact of doing surgery just pray i dont die on the table thats my worst fear i am doing this to give my 7 yr old a great life and me as well cindy

Hi Cindy Welcome to OH. I hope you find answers to questions, inspiration and love from the groups here on OH. I find them and their words most supportive when I need it the most. Most of us worried at one time or another on the possibility not surviving the surgery. This seems to be natural although yes, I agree, it can be distrubing to have these thoughts. Just remain positive, follow your surgeon's instructions for eating pre and post op regarding food, exercise and of course, water, protein and more water.
