I am 10 weeks and 2 days out and I have lost 37lbs. Is that slow or not? I weighed in at 287 at my first appointment and I weighed 271 the day of surgery. What is up with me?

Hi Shantell, congratulation on your wt loss. I think you are doing just fine you're losing weight at a good pace. Sometimes we beat up ourselves because we've had the surgery and expect a huge amount of weight to drop off at once. However we have to remember that it took years to put the weight on and it's going to take time for the weight to come off. The surgery is just a tool to help us get started at losing the weight, it's not a magical surgrey it's just a tool. So what ever you do follow what the doctor and your neutritionist tell's you to do and exercise (walk) you will find that walking help's a lot please don't beat up on yourself you're doing great !!!
