Hi Amy--congratulations on your weight loss--23 lbs in 21 days sounds terrific!!! It should keep up near that pace throughout the rest of the year. Let everyone know how you're doing. Pointers--follow your nutrition plan regarding protein, water, supplements. follow the rules and the weight will fall off. good luck Amy.

Hi Amy! I am getting ready to have my surgery done on August 2. I'm both nervous and excited. Congratulations on your 23# wt loss. You're doing real good so far! From what I've been told we just need to exercise, drink the water and protein. I'm starting to question the first few days after surgery. Have you barfed? What types of foods are you up to eating now? Take care and keep up the good work!!
Hi Amy, my name is Renee Coggins I'm a 44 year old women who will be turning 45 on july 18th. I'm sorry that you are regretting having the surgery. I can tell you this that it's going to get better. I had the WLS surgery last year Augusst 9th my one year anniversary is next month. I haven't regretted one day of it. If I had to do it all over again I would! However, if you follow everything that your doctor and nutritionist tell's you to do you will be successful. My starting weight was 270 pounds I now weigh 155 pounds. It takes dedication and exercise plus drinking your eight glasses of water. Even if you can't drink 8 glasses of water divided it up with crystal light. drink 4 glasses of water and 4 glasses of crystal light. And remember the surgery was just a tool to get you started on losing the weight, you have to help and do your part. I hope that I have been of help to you may God bless you on your journey.
Hey Amy,
I understand your frustration. I'm almost 4 weeks out and have lost 32 pounds. When I get frustrated at the scale saying the same number for a couple of days I ask myself.. "when is the last time you lost 32 pounds in 4 weeks?"
Are the numbers the only reason you are regretting this surgery?? I get frustrated but I've only once regretted this surgery and that was the day after I had it because I was in so much pain! Other than that I've not regretted it one day! I'm thankful that I was given this opportunity to have a new healthy life with my kids and wonderful hubby.
Keep your chin up hun.. it WILL get better! Your stomach and insides are still trying to adjust from being rearranged!
E-mail me if you'd like.. [email protected]

Hi Amy, My name is Rachel, I am a 35 year old mother of 3, one being a 2 1/2 also. I live in Clarkesville Ga. and I had my surgery three days before yours. I also regretted it at first and just wanted a big juicey hamburger!! I am now o.k. with it cause I can eat a lot more than I use to. My weight loss had stalled for a few weeks and the scale has just started moving again oddly enough I am eating more ofter and more, but I also forced myself to start walking everyday for at least 3omin. something I was suppose to be doing all along but just stared doing last week. I am now about to hit the 50lb. mark and am trying to hit the 60lb. mark by 3 mths. Write me anytime. I am at the computer everyday! Rachel s.
