Looking for a friend

Hello..My Name is Marla and I AM 21....I am planing 2 have lapband surgery..I go 2 doc. on the 6th so I hope we will be talking a date. Hi Marla, I wish you well on your journey! I am scheduled for wls on July 19, 2005 and I am also anxious and excited at the same time. I was your age when I first started gaining weight and now 30 years later I have to have the surgery to improve my health. Keep your chin up girl! I totally understand you about family!! my family tried to talk me out of doing the surgery! didn't understand that this was my last resort! I have tried everything!! Diets, exercise, diets, diets and diets!! nothing seem to work! yes i would loose some weight, but gain twice the amount back! Yes I understand about family!! I'm lucky that i have the support of my wonderful Boyfriend... He gives me alot of support!! It helps when you have some thinking positive for you that lives with you on a daily basis!! He has seen me at my alltime high of 325lbs... now after 5 months I'm currently weighing in at 210lbs... when I went in for surgery, I weighed in at 294lbs... I have lost 84lbs in 5 months!! just a little encouragement...But i had the Lap Gastric bypass and not the lapband! my doctor said that the bypass was better for me vs the lap band! anyways thought i would share my experience!
