Being gay and fat has to be one of the biggest black marks against someone in the gay community. I am looking for another gay guy to talk to who has either had WLS or is considering it. Thanks.

I forgot to say that I am currently learning about about WLS. A relative had it about a year and a half ago and has done wonders for her.

Stephen, I have to tell you, being obese is the "biggest black mark" against anyone in any sphere... sad but true. It actually surprised me that you made that statement tho as members of the GLBT community have always come across as some of the most open-armed people that I have met. Good luck to you as you consider your WLS journey and move toward a healthier happier you! Patti 36 day ride to my surgery date

Hi Patti, Don't be too surprised. When it comes to size, a 34" waist often seems too large in our normally open-armed community. Good luck on your surgery
