Hey guys! My name is Jennifer and I live in NC but from Atlanta! I am 32 and married... no children yet. That is the main reason why I had the surgery. To be healthy and have a healthy pregnancy and baby! Anyway.... enough about kids.... I would love to make some new friends who have experienced the surgery. I have some great friends but they just don't understand what life has been like, is like and will be like for a person who has had WLS. I also just want to meet some cool people and share myself with them. I love to send letters in the mail and I will always return an email or letter. I mean that too. Hey Jennifer! You sound so much like me. After suffering a misscarriage last June, I knew that WLS was a necessity for me. I am 30, married and no children and could not and cannot stand the thought of never having babies. So, it was time to get myself healthy. Had Open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery 04/18/05. Anyway, I would love to e-mail and get to know you and snail mail too - I love letters and mail too! We also started about the same weight - I was up to 357 - I am almost a full 5 weeks postoperative and am at 309 now. Can't wait to pick up the steam and get a bunch off, but I know it's still very early and I've come a long way already! I work at home doing medical transcription, so am at my computer constantly! hello jennifer i am gina from michigan i had gastic bypass surgery on jan 31st 2005 i started at 277 pounds i have lost 62 pounds and 36 and a quarter inches total i feel great and i now eat to live not live to eat my energy levels are great and i am waiting for more weight results lol! once ya start losing ya get anxiuos to lose more and more my surgery went well i also had a large hernia repaired hopefully for the last time that was one of the reason's i had to have my surgery too many surgies to repair them like 5 so they felt it would be a benefit for me to have bariatric surgery cause every time i was exercising i was tearing my insides up from weakness in the abodemn from too many surgies so i am feeling great and would love to chat with ya best of luck to you i am 35 and have 2 children 11 and 16 boy and a girl so that's a bit about me please feel free to email me anytime

Hi Jen, I am also new to this wls sight hope to hear more from you I am going in August 3 2005. I know this is such a short notice but I hope you get this and maybe we can conversate when I come home. Dr. carter is doing my surgery I live in NC also about 30 to45 minutes from Fayetteville. I will be doing my surgery at Cape Fear Valley Hospital I must be there at 7:30 am.
