Had my first visit with Dr. Stellato at University Hospitals of Cleveland on Monday. Went real well. Talk to the insurance company today and i still need to have a psych evaluation done. The lady said that " I had done my homework" though. That i had pretty much everything in order. If there is someone out there that would like to talk about there WLS adventure, write me back. Hi Jackie, I too am in the process of seeing the surgeon for my surgery. I have an appointment on July 7th. I am hoping everything goes well. I too have done my research. I believe I should be on top of things instead of not knowing what will happen along the way. My insurance company is Aetna my company knows that I am applying for this surgery. At first they said that Aetna does not pay, well to find out that if it is medically necessary they have to do it, and it is medically necessary. I was very happy about that. Supposedly, the employer is the one who would make this decision at the end. So I am really happy that they will agree to this.
