Hi Mike, My name is Tauna Bowman, I had wls 12/28/04. I live in Alliance, Ohio. I would be honored to be your pen pal. Let me start by telling you a little bit about my self... I am 36, I have a wonderful husband of 13 years William, 2 children, a girl 15 Nichole and boy 14 Chris, 2 dogs and 3 ferrets. My weight at surery was 350, I am just over 3 months post op and have lost 62 pounds of ugly me. LOL I am so happy to be under 300 lbs. I thank God and My Surgeon daily!! I will try to answer any and all of you questions as honestly as I can without being too brutal. LOL When is your surgery date do you know yet? Do you have an angel? Hi Mike, What type of WLS are you having? I had the Lap Band surgery on 4/1/05. Im officially 8 days PO For me it was a long journey of weight loss and gain and loss and gain. Finally after losing 80# on atkins by Feb 2004 and then regaining the whole 80# + back within 6 months..so, by Sept 2004, I decided enough is enough..at that point I vigorously pursued WLS. As for how much I've lost since surgery.. I cant say..because I dont know.. I have a post-op appt on tuesday and will know then... As for pre-op weight loss..hhmm, maybe 6#..they didnt weigh me before going into surgery...
