Just started the process

I already seen the bariatric doctor and his team. I have been to one support group and have lined up all the tests I need before surgery. I need someone who has gone through the surgery already to help me go through this process. I have alot going on in my life. I have many surgeries to have within the next year along with tests to do for those surgeries too. All my doctors recommended this surgery for me and said that I might not have to have 3 of the many surgeries I still need. I am only 39 years old and would like someone to talk to. Thank you Debra

Debra Hello.....I have not went through the process yet myself. I am going to my first consultation this Thursday. My doctor also prescribed the surgery for me. I have coronary heart disease and am COPD (asthma & emphysema) I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflux, hynial hernia, and sleep apnea! Those are just the major things wrong with me! I am really excited about getting started. I have been researching this procedure for about 3 yrs now. I am 42, will be 43 in May. I can't help you with any of the "after" things, but if you need someone to talk to about your feelings prior, I'd love to hear from you. I wish you luck along your journey. Carla
