would like a pen pal. I am 14 months out need some help.

Hi every one Just looking for some one to give me some advise. I am 14 months out and its like no matter what I do the weight has stopped dropping and I am getting VERY depressed, I exersize Im eating my protein I dont drink alot of water. but i do drink ALOT of coffee, of course decafe. I just feel so lost right now. Please some one help me even if you need to kick me in the butt or some thing. Thank you Wendy

Hi Wendy : ) Four Things: Protein, Vitamins, Water and Exercise. Protein.. Make sure you are getting your protein in Daily. I use a protein Whey product that Walmart sells, its called Avant Edge Whey Protein. I mix it with nonfat skim milk a quart at a time (its 20 grams a serving). Mixing a quart at a time = 80 grams of protein. I drink mine all through the day.. a little at a time. As a GUY I am supposed to get at least 70 grams a day.. so this works for me. Vitamins You should have at least a couple Chewable multi vitamins a day... like Flintstones variety or similar. ALSO you need daily calcium, Iron, B1, B6, and B12. VITAMINS are VITAL to losing weight... and if you set up a routine to get them just before you eat its not hard at all. WATER This is most most important. COFFEE is ok I guess but you HAVE to get lots of water. Flavor it with Crystal Lite... or with lemon juice... or get flavored carbonated water and then put it in your BLENDER to remove the carbonation. YOU WONT LOSE WEIGHT UNLESS YOU PUSH Water. Its VERY important... find a way .. if you increase the water you WILL start to lose... guaranteed : ) Finally... Exercise. Find some different things you ENJOY. Swim at a local pool... sit and do arm exercises.. you can use quart bottles of water, or containers like.... old liquid detergent containers from the laundry partly or whole filled with water... or riding a bike..either stationary or around your neighborhood. FIND EXERCISE YOU ENJOY...and then do it on a daily or weekly basis. Everyone walks. I HATE WALKING.. but I do walk some, but I am constantly looking for ways to get in exercise OTHER than walking. MOST OF ALL... be encouraged : ) Dont hide... talk to as many people as you can... and get involved in areas where you can be around different people. As large people... who struggle with Weight loss... we tend to ISOLATE and this is VERY bad..and makes us Depressed. My name is Tim Sytsma, I live in Delmar Iowa (north of Davenport about 40 miles) and I am 27 days out. I had RNY laproscopic surgery in December, 12-22-04. I am still learning about the whole process, at 19 days (last Monday) I had lost 47 pounds. Focus on good things Wendy.
