starting journey/military in Germany.

I'm a 43 yr old spouse to an air force nurse and an mother of a 3 yr old. I'm looking for a pen pal that can offer any help/guidance to me. I am just starting my journey. I had my appt with my PCP whom I've never met before (problem with military clinics) I was so nervous bringing it up. He made referrals to dietian and phyc, but from what I understand the insurance requires 6 months of an professional diet before approval. I want to have the surgery no later than next year. I have a Bariatric Surgeon in mind. If there is anyone out there that is or was in my shoes please write.
