hey buddy, one thing we have in common is AGE I am 52 so we can relate to a lot of the same things, I live in Nashville, have 2 children one teenager and one grown both boys, no grands yet but definitely looking forward to that day and time and want to be healthy enough to enjoy. I see you are pre op, so am I what stage are you at? I went for my consultation on Friday 7/9 and then had lab work don, now I am waiting for stress thallium appointment and echocardigram-have to have heart clearance. It definitely is a long process- i wish somone could find a way to make it a little shorter cause frustration sends me to the refrigerator, does it do that to you? and that is part of what the problem is . I am diabetic, have high blood pressure, mild case of congestive heart failure and osteoarthritis the last two I was diagnosed with in the last 6 months- the DR said i am a high risk (DUH). what else is new, and I am walking on a 4 prong cane because my legs and knees hurt so bad from time to time, I am basically homebound becasue I am scared to go outside, unless I go to the dr and transportation comes to get me, my quality of life is not very good and I desperately want and need a friend who can understand. I have 2 friends here in TN that had had the surgery and both are doing fine and the difference in ther life is mind-boggling, so email me anytime I will write back, but it is better to email me becasue I don't do to the forums very often- this is my first time , i just love these little do dads,
