Illinois Post-op looking for a penpal

Just looking for someone to talk to about this stuff.I go to my area support groups but we just talk about the same things all the time.I would like to hear someone elses point of view.Well anyways I had my surgery on August 14th.2003 weighing in at 371lbs. and it is now July 7th.2004 and I Now weigh 219lbs.I am happy with the rate I am going and so is the surgeons nurse.But then when the doctor comes in he's not happy with my weight loss and thinks I should be losing it faster so he wanted me to go back to 6oz's of food 3 times a day.But I just can not do it.I go to see him in a couple of days on the 12th.And I don't know what to say to him,because everytime I go there he makes me feel down in the dumps because he says I am not doing a good enough job.So if you have any suggestions I will take any I can get.Thankyou,Candi

Thank you very much for the compliments I appreciate them.How are you today.I hope your not to nervous about your surgery.With me it was a breeze before my surgery,until I hit that operating tablt then reality hit me straight in the face.But they knocked me out so quickly I didn't have time to worry about it.Next thing I knew I was in my room awake and laying down and in pain until they brought in thar morphine drip . let me tell you that is a trip all by itself and it works very well.Well I ended up throught the time developing three hernias,I look like I am 6 months pregnant.HA!HA!But know that I have lost enough weight he has arranged for my hernia sugery to be on September 10th2004.But as far as that free tummy tuck every one talks about isn't going to happen.The Doctor wants 9,616.00 up front then they will bill the insurance and if the ins. co. approves it they will pay me back but if they don't approve it I'M out of luck and money.It does not matter anyways I don't have that kind of money to do it anyways.ThenI asked the Doctor about all the access skin that will not go away and he said he would have to refer me to a plastic surgeon and he doubt's the insurance will pay for that either.I just don't know what to do,I guess I will just hav e to be skinny and have an ugly body for the rest of my life.What do you think?If you would like to email me back here is the address [email protected] and please don't let anything I said to you scare you ,because afterwards when you start losing all that weight you will feel so good,have more energy,and better health over all.I hope everything is goinwell for you! Hi, Candi, I had surgery, August 2003 i weighed 348lbs I have lost over 125lbs i feel great and you should too, WHO THE HELL IS THIS DOCTOR, I know that it is hard not to believe everything that your doctor says, but you should be very proud of yourself, if your doctor is not proud of you, i have a wonderful support group and if you ever need anybody to talk to i am hear, ready to listen and willing to talk.

candi, hi my name is elaine from tennessee (i have nick named myself BABY ELEPHANT) , I AM PRE OP AND cannot wait until i can say that I lost 152 pounds in11 months. WOW that is awesome, I am very proud of you and I know that your other supporters are, I know that you are proud of yourself and have got to be feeling so much better what is the problem with your docctor, I have never heard anything like that it seems like you have done a remarkable job, how much does he think that you should have lost by now? The only suggestion that I can offer is to pray before you go to see him and let him know that you are pleased with your results and thank him for doing such an awesome job giving you a NEW LIFE congratulations on you accomplishments and keep up the good work
