Hello Linda, I am almost 14 months post op and down over 180 lbs. This surgery is a very personal and private decision. I can only speak of my experience, but for me it has been such an amazing journey. My life has changed completley and only for the better. I have never been thin in my life and I have only known life through the eyes of a chubby child, fat teen and a morbidley obese adult. The surgery has allowed me a new sense of freedom that I never could have imagined. I wish you the very best on your journey and know that whatever you decide will be the right decision for you. Take your time and research all of your options, whether it is a supervised diet, the Lap Band, RNY or any other option, but take your time and make an informed decision.
