I visit the UK every other year and grew up there. Would like to write to someone over there. Guess I'm a bit homesick... Just returned from a trip to B.C. and Alberta. Fell in love with the mountains and the magazine "Chatelaine." Would like to form a pen pal friendship that could be mutually helpful in across the border friendships and help re: WLS. I had mine Feb. 12th, 14 weeks ago tomorrow...have lost 60 pounds. Cheers, Rusty

Hi Donna, I answered another of your e-mails elsewhere on the site this morning. What a coincidence! I'd love to write back and forth to you. Only a month left till you have your surgery! Yippee! Right? Seriously, how are you feeling about it? A bit nervous and scared as well as anxious, impatient and fending off the questions and opinions of all the people you talk with? Do you need an angel? Do you know others in Ontario who have had this surgery? Which type are you having done? If you read my profile, you'll know what's going on with me. Hope you like daffodils...my obsession with them is fairly tiresome for some of my friends. Even my home is named "Daffodil Hill," although most of us Yanks are against using any other than a proper number on residences and think my naming a house is a bit strange. My friends and cousins in England delightfully address my home with both name and number, bless them. Makes me feel much more of an individual. We just got back, this past week, from a beautiful week in the Columbia Valley, driving over to Banff during the day...when my husband could pull me out of the hot spring pools. Have you ever been there? Do you have any concerns re: travel and eating? I can fill you in on my experiences...both funny and stressful. We're hoping to take a vacation in northern NY this next fall so we can get across the border to Canada. I cannot find a time share for us to trade in your part of the country. It sounds like northern NY would allow us to set up some sort of meeting. Enough of my chatting on for now. Cheers, Rusty
