10 years and 40 lb gained
I used that app some a few months ago. It is very helpful. My username is GwendolynKay1. What have you done to lose the 11 pounds? That is great!! My daughter works for the YMCA so yesterday we joined the family membership. They have two indoor pools, walking track, workout room, gym, yoga classes, etc. I am excited to get started! I have thought about "resetting" my pouch...have you heard of doing that? You basically eat the same way we did right after surgery for a week or so. Start with liquids and gradually add solid food back.
I'm glad I found your PenPal post. I hope we can help each other get back on track!
Talk to you soon.
Hi everyone,
I am so happy to see this posting. I am almost 7 years out and have gained 45 lbs and trying to get back on track. I was going to try the liquid protein again for a week and then introduce foods back in again hoping this will get me back to where I should be. Unfortunately I had foot surgery 2 months ago and in a air cast with pins and screws in my foot and need to have surgery on my other foot. I can't do the walking or bicycling like I would like to for exercise and have weight restrictions. Does anyone have other suggestions. Happy to be apart of this support group.

Hello! I am 4.5 years out and I too have gained 40 lbs... most gained in the last 2 years, or so. It's so frustrating and disturbing. I never met my 'goal weight', which wasn't really that unreasonable... 175. I had the RNY and I don't really 'over eat" I think I just eat poorly or make poor choices.
I started having hip pain, which limited my exercise and it doesn't help that i'm at a point in my "womanhood" that I have hormonal issues. All excuses.. but all very real.
I think I'm so tired of dieting... why can't I just be a normal person? I think I will try and go back to Liquid diet and see what that brings? And Hopefully summer will get me outside and I will be able to lose something!
I try to stay upbeat and happy... but I guess it's very sad to me to hear people whisper "oh look... she's gaining it back"...
Have a wonderful day and I hope that things are back on track for you!
