Looking for a Penpal with a similar situation as mine.......

Hello! My name is Melissa. I am 32, I will be 33 in one week. I weight 480lbs. I just got my approval for surgery, but I am waiting for the doctor to finish signing off on everything before I take my last steps into the surgery. I am excited. I hope to weight about 180ish. I have never seen what someone of my size would look like at 180 after being 480. I have 300 pounds to loose and when I think about it, it seems like it just can't be done. So, I am hoping someone on here will prove me wrong and show me it can be done and maybe even help me by telling me their story, sharing their photo's, what to do's, and what NOT to do.

I can relate to you I just turned 33 last month and started this journey @ 394lbs, i have since lost 34 lbs and feel great, but just like you have LOTS to lose and feel like its going to be hard and some what unrealistic. My date is set for 01/03/13 and i cant wait, altho i will admit i am scared as He**, I am thankful for my mother and husband who support me through this, but hope to make some friends in the group along the way. :)

Now, almost 5 years later, I have lost 331 pounds. It can be done, and you can so do this! Would be happy to be a WLS buddy with you!
