Hi, I am from wi as well. Close to Milwaukee. I am still waiting for my date. I just had my info sent out to my insurance. I work @ the hospital and am told our insurance is a peice of cake getting approval. I am hoping to have my surgery with in the first two weeks of August.

I am in my thirties married with two great kiddos. I am just ready to have this and get a life. Acutally live it instead of watch it.

Hi, I'm in Sun Prairie, a hop, skip and jump from Madison.  I finally got my date and that is July 25th.  I am super stoked, like you I'm ready to live it and no****ch it.  I'm in my late 40's, divorced, I have 2 sons, 1 is 25 and the other is 16.  Great kids.  Couldn't be blessed any more than I am.

I have Medicare and Medicaid, so there wasn't any real paperwork to do, those are pretty much automatic approvals, just have to have a high BMI.

I'm seeing my Nutritionist tomorrow to see what I have to do pre-op.. I know it will be shakes for sure.  Might even need to lose some weight.  I'll have to see.  I'll let you know how that goes.

:)

ello,    I just had my surgery on the 25th of July.  I have lost a total of 40 lbs. as of today.  The surgery is a breeze, if you're getting laproscopy done.  Dr. Campos' is a wonderful doctor!  He is very kind, concerned, considerate, great bedside manners. My pre-op was an all liquicd diet for 2 weeks, that was getting kind of boring but then the date came up and all was good.  I'm was on liquid diet 1 week after surgery (mostly prostien shakes) then moved on to pureed foods.  I'll be honest I don't like prueed foods, just not the same...hahaha.  I'm seeing my nutritionist next tuesday hopefully will go on to soft foods.  If you have any kind of questions ask away... I'll answer to the best i can.

Julie

P.S. good luck on your pre-op plan and future surgery :)
