Pen Pal

I am almost ready to have surgery.  I just have two more things to do.  I am loosing confidence in my ability to do this.  Also, I am confused about what we have to do after surgery.  I am looking for a pen pal who has already had the surgery to encourage me and to help me stay strong.  I really need to do this for my health.  Also, I wouldn't mind being pretty again like I used to be.

Hi there.  I would love to be your pen pal.  I had my surgery 5/22/12 so I am still pretty new.  I just figure that you can never have enough support people!  I had the sleeve.  What surgery are you having?  This is a wonderful journey and I am so proud of you for taking that step towards better health!  As for "being pretty" again...I don't think that is needed.  I believe that everyone is beautiful and just because they gain weight doesn't make them any less beautiful or pretty.    I believe it is more of a matter of SEEING ourselves as beautiful again.  I know I have struggled with that too.  Hope to hear from you soon!
