Looking for penpal in NC

Hello all. I am getting ready to have surgery on May 14th,2012. I would  love to have a penpal who has gone thru surgery or getting ready to. I am having a RNY, hopefully laproscopic. I would love to make a new friend and have someone to chat with  as I go thru this new beginning. Here are a few things I would like to share about me . I am a 42 year old female , mother of 2 daughters, ages almost 15 and 12. I am married to a wonderful husband , who supports me fully. I have one dog, named Dobie.

I am 5'7"tall and weigh 288 pounds.I would like to weigh around 145 pounds. Dietician set my goal at 160 but I want to weigh  less.

 Hey there!  My name is Suzanne and I am 40 years old and live in Wilmington, NC. I am a single mom of an almost 6 year old daughter and we have 4 dogs. (a bit extreme I know lol). I am scheduled to have my RNY on July 3rd. I am 5'9" and currently at 292 lbs. My first goal weight is 180 but depending on how that goes I may try to get to 169 which it the top of the BMI for my height. I also am looking for someone here in NC that I can connect with and share our journys, the good and the bad of it all!!  If you are interested, PM me and we can start from there!

I weighed 290 when I came home from the hospital and I now weigh 262 , and it's only been 1 month. I bet you are nervous about the upcoming surgery, but you will do fine. I have done great so far. I am 8 months out from RNY. I am 5'9 and at 179. It has been a wonderful journey with ups and and downs. I live in Raleigh, NC. I had a friend who had surgery two years before then, so she was very helpful. Feel free to email me here or at [email protected].

Hi Jeri, Sorry I haven't responded until now but my computer was down. So you are 8 months out, how much have you lost this far?  My surgery went great and I am now 262 pounds. When I came home from the hospital I weighed 290. I would love to hear from you, email me at [email protected].

Hi you should have already had your surgery, hope everything is well with you. I am about 25 miles north of Statesville, not too far from you. I am 53 5'4" and weigh 350. I have one 30 year old daughter who is getting married in October, she tells me I will be half the woman at her wedding, lol. My surgery is scheduled for June 18th, I am on my 3rd day of liquid. Hi butterfly,  I bet you are getting excited and nervous about your surgery. Everything went great with my surgery. I was 290 when I came home from the hospital and I now weigh 262. I can already tell in my clothes. How are you doing with the liquids? I was on them for 2 weeks after the surgery. Before the surgery, I drank shakes 2 times a day and was allowed 1 healthy meal a day. Well, I look forward to hearing from you and good luck with your surgery.
